A comprehensive visit usually requires a dilated retinal examination. Please come prepared to have your eyes dilated. Most patients are able to drive after dilation with sunglasses (we will provide disposable glasses if needed).

Dilation can last several hours, with light-sensitivity being the most common effect. If you are uncomfortable or are unsure of the effects after dilation, please bring someone to drive you.

Please bring the following with you to your visit:

• Photo ID (ID Card, Driver’s License)
• Insurance Card(s)
• Copay payment
• Health Information (medical history, past surgeries)
• List of Current Medications
• List of any questions you may have
